It's been a while readers, I know. I've found other interests and I'm sure you all feel so abandoned. You have my sincerest apologies. I have tried other blogs and learned that my heart belongs here. So I plan to start posting again lots of new giveaways and updates about my life, and yes, I even plan to start Alaho Friday again.

Now on to more important things. I still need to make up for my extended absence. So here I go with a few great giveaway tips for you. Because I have a lot of making up to do, all of the giveaways I list for the next week will be huge!

Saving Money and Having a Blast Doing It!

I wanted to thank everyone for being so patient with me and my internet issues. I am now back up and online (although my phone is not working now... go figure).

I havn't had the time to enter as many giveaways as I would like to lately, but I have been finding time for some other things.

I tend to find a new hobby and get very involved in it until there is nothing else I could possibly learn (at least not for free) and then I move on. It was like that with sewing, html, scrapbooking and so on. My mother calls it my hobby of the month. Is anyone else like that or is it just me?

Oh well. This months "hobby of the month" is couponing. I have been reading forums and matching coupons to sales and having so much fun doing it. I wish I could blog more about specific deals to help people out, but most deals are so specific to areas that I don't think it would be much help.

My favorite deal so far has been 8 boxes of betty crocker fruit snacks for $3.50.

If you want to find deals that match coupons to your local stores try A Full Cup. They have tons of different store "shopping lists" which are lists of everything that is on sale that also matches a coupon in their database. The database includes any kind of coupon you can imagaine... Printables, Sunday Paper, Tearpads and more.

Well Their was a team out in front of my house on Friday working on the lines and I got my hopes up thinking the internet might be back on by the weekend, but alas it is Sunday and still no internet. I am currently writing from my mothers house.

This time has not been a total waste. I have been thinking about ways to improve my blog and you will see some changes very soon. I plan to include more posts about general sweepstakes and winning other types of contests, while the focus will still be on blog giveaways.

My internet is down again... this time they are saying it may take a few weeks. I keep begging my husband to let us move out of these darn mountains. Sure it's peaceful and quiet but the winters are horrible.

What I Really Want Wednesday - Fancy Smancy Crock Pot

I already have a crock pot, well sort of. My mother borrowed it a few months ago and I havn't seen it since.

It is a good crock pot and gets the job done but it is a little small for my needs, but overall I was happy with it until I saw... This is the ultimate crock pot.

It comes equipped with features for easy cleaning, a touch screen and a feature that will turn itself down and just keep your food warm when it is done cooking.

And as for the size It holds 6.5 quarts of the most delicious recipe you could think of. Now my old crock pot looks like a cereal bowl to me.

Thanks to a huge snow storm that knocked out my internet, I was not able to post yesterday. That's winter in the Pocono's for you. Why did you start this blog?

I started Jolly Mom because I wanted a way to connect with family members that live all around the world. It quickly turned into more than a place to display pictures of my son, Lucas. I fell in love with blogging and totally became addicted-lol!

What do you love about blogging?

I love getting to know other moms who are living a similar experience to me. I’m a WAHM so I get little interaction with the outside world. Blogging is really a support system for me.

What is your favorite product that you have ever given away?

I love the Plan Toys giveaway! It was a huge prize with a grocery cart and three sets of play food. I was so honored that they sponsored it on my blog because Plan Toys is an excellent company.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

I just want to say thank you to the moms and women who read my blog. They are the ones that keep my blog going. They inspire me to want to be a better blogger. Also, I want to say to any new bloggers to not give up. Write about something you love and reach out to other bloggers if you need help. We should all help one another when we are able to. I had a lot of help when I was starting out and I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for the mom bloggers who generously gave me advice.

Extra Entries Really Do Make a Difference

Extra entries really do make a huge difference. In fact out of all of the giveaways I have one I can only think of one that I didn't have more than one entry in, and that one did not allow extra entries.

Every blog has different rules about extra entries and how you can get them but I will go over some of the most popular.

Follow Me on Blogger: This is really easy to do if you already have a blogger account. If you don't it is very easy to set up and You Don't Need A Blog To Have A Blogger Account.

Subscribe: Some blogs give you the option to subscribe by RSS but many will require you to subscribe by email so it is easier to verify. For more information about subscriptions please see RSS Feeds: What They Are and Why You Need Them. If you do subscribe by email, make sure you read those emails. Some blogs announce winners in their feed and that will be there only form of contact.

Follow Me on Twitter: Twitter is a fun social networking site that is so easy to use. (Don't worry it doesn't even come close to being as complex as MySpace) This is an extra entry that everyone should get. Not only will you get the one extra entry, but you can also find out about new giveaways as they happen. Because it only takes a couple of seconds to update twitter most blog owners will post all of their contests there. I also use it to keep in touch with family. (I have 3 sisters scattered across the country and my husbands family is scattered across 3 different countries.)

Blog About It: Not many people choose this option, and I don't know why. It is so simple. Most blog owners won't mind if you use their pictures as long as it is in promotion of their giveaway, but be sure to ask first. It only takes a few sentences to describe the prize and where to find it. Then you add a link or two and click publish post.

Buy Something: You can usually get a few extra entries by buying something from the sponcers site. In most cases it doesn't matter if it is the cheapest item on the site. Still I do not use this one two often as winning something is not as much fun if it is not completely free. I do however use it if the sponsor is selling something I would normally buy anyway.

Digg, Stumble ext... : You can favorite the blog on a number of different sites to gain extra entries as well. The only site that I currently use for this is stumble. While it did take a little longer to set up then I would like it was worth it as I get so many extra entries for this one and I use it for other reasons as well. (Helps me find new giveaway blogs, because I am constantly stumbling the ones I already use)

If you are not already using all of these extra entries, take a good look at them and ask your self why. When you have some extra time set up the accounts. Then gaining extra entries should only take a matter of minutes...sometimes seconds from that point forward.

Remember Scavenger Hunts

When I was little my grandmother would take me camping in Keswick New Jersey. I had so much fun their seeing my friends year after year and participating in games with them. One of my favorite activities was the scavenger hunt.

Perhaps it's the nostalgia of the hunt that got me hooked on this new type of giveaway that I found. The basic principals are very similar to a blog giveaway, but instead of looking for a favorite item you are trying to find a hidden word or picture. Because they require more work there are not as many entries which improve your odds.

This week I have been participating in Scavenger Hunts at Week in Rewind. To be eligible to win you first have to subscribe to his newsletter. This was no problem for me. My husband is a movie addict so we are already subscribed. Then you have to search through the movie reviews to find a variation of the prize name. He makes this easier by giving you an idea of where to look (He will tell you I-L or R-S). The word is always at the very end of the review and the entire sentence is written in red text. Once you find the word send him an email with the name of the review you found it in. You can enter everyday but the word is moved a couple of times a week so be sure to check before you send the email. You can also comment once a day to improve your odds.

There are two prizes up for grabs right now and they are GOOD ones. The prizes are a Wii and an iPod Touch. They both end March 17th.

I am really busy right now trying to do some after holiday clean up (aka: damage control) and I can barely find the time to hop in the shower let alone enter giveaways. On the rare occasion I do get a spare second to myself I try to make the most of it.

What I Really Want This Wednesday - A Laptop

Oh how I loath being chained to my desk every time I have the urge to blog. I long for the freedom to search the internet for recipes from my kitchen counter or proofread drafts in a waiting room.

Time to enter Sweepstakes

As you know I generaly prefer to enter blog giveaways rather than regular sweepstakes for a couple of reasons.

Better odds of winning
The entry process is much more fun

But at this time of year I do enter quite a few sweepstakes for one reason. About 20% of all of the sweepstakes for the year end on New Years Eve. So I spend the last week of the year entering as many of them as I can.

Head over to Online-Sweepstakes.com to see what is their to enter. Keep Reading for a few End of the Year Sweeping Tips!

At this point you should focus on sweepstakes that allow single entries only. Their is no time to catch up with daily entries and many people could have over 300 entries. Not very great odds for you if you only have 3.
Choose whether you would rather focus on large prizes (lower odds) or small prizes or both and how you are going to divide up your time if you want to do both.
If you are focusing on large prizes then on the OLS main page on the top menu bar choose Top 100. Once you are taken to the page sort by Highest rated.
If you are focusing on small prizes you can either look towards the bottom of the home page for the small prizes link or choose a category such as book or CD's.
Another way to do both of these is to choose contests that are expiring Dec. 31 then sort by highest rated(for big prizes) or highest rated reversed (small prizes)
Read the descriptions. They will tell you if the contest requires you to sign up for newsletters or a membership. I do not recommend signing up for to many newsletters unless the topic really interests you or else your inbox will be overflowing.
If you create a second email address for contest entry you must remember to sort through it carefully. You will get a lot of junk mail with a few winning notifications inside. Try doing a search for the words "winner" "won" "congratulation" before deleting your inbox and spam folders. Also search the word "confirm" to be sure you don't forget to confirm any entries.

I am currently entered into 62 sweepstakes that are ending New Years Eve. I hope to get that number up to 100 in time. Their are thousands to choose from, so it shouldn't be to difficult.

Why did you start this blog?

I started this blog because I am a review junkie! When I got pregnant with Graham I turned into a major review junkie! Having a baby is not cheap and I wanted to make sure I was getting the best products for the best price! I had never heard of "blogs" before this! I found some and thought, I could definitely do this with all of my reviewing experience! I also had friends that were pregnant about the same time as myself and we were sharing what we knew. I thought, why not share with the world! I also love to find the unique and hand made things! New inventions are the best!

What do you love about blogging?

I love being able to show people new and unique items! I also love the networking and meeting new people!

What is your favorite product that you have ever given away?

Thursdays Tip and Aloha Friday Together

If you are a regular reader you already know that yesterday I had to get something off my chest, so I am posting Thursdays Tip Today. Aloha Friday is at the end of the post.

Most of my readers are already interested in giveaways and sweeping so you probably already use OLS. For those of you who are not, I will give you a quick explanation and then you can check out the site for yourself. Everyone else can skip the next paragraph and move on the tip section.

What is OLS
OLS stands for On Line Sweepstakes. It is a sweepstakes listing site that separates all of there listings into tons of category's. You can sort by start date, end date, type of prize, how many entries you are allowed and so on. If that is not enough options there is a search box where you can type in your own terms. The site offers a premium membership for a reasonable price, but it is not necessary. If you participate in the forums for a while someone is likely to gift one to you. I have had my premium account for a year and have never purchased a single month myself. (Be sure to return the favor when you can afford it)

The giveaways that are featured on OLS usually get more entries than one's that arn't. (If you are a blog owner hosting a giveaway, it is free and easy to submit your listing)

Odds
Odds are fairly easy to figure out. If you have 5 entries in a giveaway with 200 entries your odds are 1:40. If you have 1 entry in a giveaway with 500 entries your odds are 1:500.

Your chances of winning blog giveaways are much better than winning a regular sweepstakes which can have odds as bad as 1:1000000. Blog giveaways generally have odds between 1:100 to 1:2000. The giveaways featured on OLS average around 1:500 but can vary greatly depending on the popularity of the prize.

Finding the Best Odds on OLS
I have developed a little trick that I use when my time is really tight that lets quickly find the giveaways with the best odds, because they have had the least exposure on OLS.

First log into your OLS account so that you can use the sort feature.
On the sweepstakes directory page choose a date under expiring sweeps. I usualy choose tomorrow or the next day for this technique to work best.
Once the listings appear go to the search box at the top of the page and type the word "comment". Click search.
This next step is the most important step. Use the sort feature to sort by newest first. If you only have time to enter one or two giveaways make sure they are near the top of the page.

These giveaways have had the least exposure on OLS and therefore usualy feature better odds than other giveaways advertised.

This technique works great when you have very limited time and can only enter a few giveaways. If you do have more time I recommend searching through all of the blog giveaways listed. Remember 1:2000 is much better than 1:1000000!

I hate to have a Political Opinion

I hate to have a political opinion because somebody always gets mad, and I don't like to make people mad. I am kind of a happy smiley type person. It irritates me when one of those nasty little buggers pops into my head.

I'm just gona get this off my chest and then we can go back to winning giveaways.

I think that people have a false sense of security this Holiday Season. Gas prices are low, sales are everywhere. It has easy been spend money.

It worries me that just a few weeks ago people were whispering possibilities of a "d" word.

We all have to agree that marketing companies did a great job this year convincing us to spend are hard earned dollars when our instincts were telling us to save. I think that everyone should be taking some serious precautions rite now. I truly believe that once the spending season is over, gas prices are going to be back up and everyone's spirits are going to be back down.

I sure hope that the elected leaders are ready to guide us through what may be some very difficult times ahead.

Okay, that's it (dusting off hands). I'm glad that's over with. I will try my very best not to have another political thought for a very long time.

I Really Want to Get Orginized

If you hadn't guessed from the title, this weeks What I really want Wednesday is for anything that will help me get organized. This week I really want the SmartShopper.

My husband called me three times this past weekend while he was out, and asked me if I needed him to pick anything up. Every single time I told him no.

The problem is I need paper towels the hole time.

So I made an unnecessary trip out to the grocery store to get the paper towels. I saw a bunch of stuff on sale there and picked it up and hurried home. As I was getting the groceries out of the car I realized that I forgot the paper towels!

The Smartshopper lets you type any item you need into the little device and when your ready to go shopping it organizes your list by department (sweet) and prints it out for you.

Behind The Blog Update - Advice and Opinions Needed

There is one thing that all bloggers have in common. They love to give advice and options. I'm counting on that today, so bloggers help me out please!

I have been trying to get my subscription and social networking links together for Behind the Blog this week and have succeeded only in frustrating the hell out of my self.

What I want: One of those cute images for my RSS Feed subscription link.
What I got:
That's the first piece of advice I need. How do I get an attractive image for my RSS feed button?

What I want: A small simple follow me icon for twitter that does not display any updates.
What I found: Lots of widgets to display updates and that's it!

I did get my email subscription link and follow me on blogger links together, but those are the easy ones. I would really like to have one box to that displays links to email subscriptions, follow me feature, twitter, and RSS, but I can't find anything like that that doesn't display other things like face book as well.

Now for the opinions
Take a look at my set up so far on Behind the Blog. What do you think. Is it easy to read the side bar text. Do you like the background. I am thick skinned so I can take some constructive criticism without a problem.

Why did you start this blog?

I started a blog in August of 2007. My friend was trying to get me into the blogging world for almost a year before I finally gave in! I have to say, I am not sure why I waited so long!

What do you love about blogging?

I love keeping track of the fun things my kids do and say, and to share photos and family events. I also love meeting other bloggers and sharing stories/ideas with them. Being a product reviewer and "mom tester" has been a great part of blogging, too! I love being "in the know."

Friday's Thougts for The Week

Happy Friday! I bet everyone is looking forward to nice relaxing weekend with the people you care about most.

Well that's just to bad. This weekend you have to

Fight traffic to get to the stores
Fight another parent over the last Barbie Dream House in Walmart
Fight traffic again to get back home
Find a way to sneak the barbie dream house into your bedroom without the children seeing. (Warning: This may involve climbing through a window so dress appropriately.)
Get the tree up and decorated
Put the tree back up after the dog or cat knocks it down.
Console crying kids because the precious ornaments that the worked so hard to make are now broken.
Spend any free time that you might have had helping the children make new ornaments
Stand in line at the post office for an hour to mail out Christmas gifts to long distance relatives.
Get yelled at by the guy who bumped into your parked car
Get dinner in the oven late, just to run out of propane when it's only half cooked.
Run out to McDonald's
Get home, feed kids, baths, stories, bed time
Fall down on the floor right where your standing and sigh because Christmas is the "happiest time of the year"

Ahh! This is the third Lexmark Printer I have gone through. I don't know why I keep buying them. The same thing always happens. After 2 or 3 months it starts pulling from only one side and the paper jams. There is no fixing it! The printer is junk after that.

Last Christmas I went down to South Carolina (Oh how I miss sunshine in December) to visit my father and stepmother. They have an Epson printer that prints both black and white and color on paper. It also prints photos in amazing quality that you would never guess where printed at home.

Behind The Blog ( Coming soon! )

Hey everyone. Happy Sunday! Today is my 25th birthday! I am so excited. Another year older means another year worth of experiences and lessons that I can take with me as I move on to whatever comes next. It's another year worth of people that I have been lucky enough to meet and friends that I have been lucky enough to have. Another year where I have been able to watch my children grow. What a miracle that has been.

It hasn't all been perfect and happy, but when bad stuff came around I always had someone to lean on, and I am so thankful to those people.

I have a busy schedule today. I am going to spend time with family that I rarely get to see. (The perfect birthday gift, if your ever wondering what to give someone who lives kinda far.) but before I go I wanted to start this great birthday off by announcing something that I am so excited about.

Behind The Blog

I have had so much fun doing the Saturday's Featured Giveaway Blog that I am going to be expanding a bit. I will continue to feature great giveaway blogs over hear. I will also be opening Behind the blogger this January.

I want to feature the most interesting blogs and interview some awesome bloggers. I have had such a great time blogging so far and the best part has been the people I have met.

I originally started off as a member of Online-Sweepstakes and came across so many great blogs having giveaways. Through that I found a lot of amazing blogs that I liked to read and loved so much that I thought, "Hey, I could do this! I have a lot of things to share with other mommies!" So I did and I've had so much fun blogging.

The elf from Elfing Around. This product is AMAZING! My kids and I have both enjoyed this experience. In a nutshell, you create fun little "scenes" every night that your kids wake up to.. they get excited about their funny little elves.. and you get to see the joy in their faces and instead of your children focusing on presents and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, they're infatuated with their little elf friend for 12 days. Ode to the Matriarch

I had planned so many things for this Friday's thoughts for the week. There are lots of people I have to thank and I promise that I will get to them all next week, but I got a phone call last night from one person who deserves the biggest thank you of all.

Ode to the Matriarch

There is a special place in my heart for the woman who first introduced me to the love of Jesus Christ, who took me to Sunday School every week faithfully, who guided me through some of the most difficult times in my life, and never lost faith in me even when everyone else I knew did.

She has been my role model, from the time I was born until now when I have children of my own whom look up to her the same way that I do. Every day of her life has been devoted to taking care of others even at the expense of taking care of herself.

She raised all of her Children to be loving, honest and successful adults. She then helped to raise her Grandchildren, which I am proud to say I am one of. With firm words and a gentle heart she taught us about discipline, values, and unconditional love.

She is now quickly approaching 80 years old, and she tells me how her memory and her body are starting to fail her, but she never forgets a single birthday. While her body is slowing and she can’t get as many things done in a day as she used to, but she makes the time for the things that matter most to her; Picking the perfect Christmas Gift for each of her Great Grandchildren, visiting and caring for members of our family who are ill or suffering, and Worshiping God in the Church that she has attended for over 20 years (perhaps longer, but I can’t remember past that.)

When anyone in the family is in trouble, it is the Matriarch that they turn too, and she is there to help them regardless of the circumstances. She puts her own security on the line to ensure the well being of her family.

Thank you to my Grandmother and all of the selfless Matriarchs of the world. May the rest of your lives be blessed the way you have blessed ours and may God watch over you and those you love this Holiday Season.

Thursdays Tips - RSS Feeds What They Are and Why You Need Them!

Before I get started with this weeks tip, I wanted to announce that I will be posting my list of giveaway blogs that every sweeper should follow next Thursday. If you are the owner of a blog that frequently hosts giveaway's and would like to be included in the list please view my full profile to contact me. If you have a set day of the week that you do giveaways please include that along with the method your blog uses to contact winners.

I am sure that all of the experienced bloggers out there are aware of the many ways to use RSS feeds but for those who are new I have put together some information on how you can benefit from them.

What is an RSS Feed?
An RSS feed is simply a file that contains content summeries, links, picture, and video. The Feed is updated every time the blog is updated.

How Does this Help You?
By subscribing to the feed you can be notified every time the feed (remember the feed is updated when the blog is) receives new information (a new post). If you are subscribed to the RSS Feed for a giveaway blog you will know every time a new giveaway is posted!

How Do You Subscribe to an RSS Feed?
There are many ways to subscribe. Here are some of the most popular.

Email: On many blogs you will see an option to subscribe by email. Most bloggers choose to use Feedburner to manage their mailing lists which is great because you can trust that your email address is not going to be shared. You do have to confirm in order for your subscription to activate in most cases. Email is not my favorite method because I have so many subscriptions it is sometimes difficult to weed out what is junk mail and what isn't when sorting through an inbox.

Reader: I like this option a little bit more. I use Google Reader for blogs that I don't read daily but like to catch up on when I have spare time. The negative side is that you can not quickly view all of the post titles to decide which ones you want to read unless you want to do a lot of scrolling. The positive is that it has a really useful feature that allows you to mark the posts that you have already read. You can easily add an RSS feed to reader.
This image indicates the blogs feed. You may have to look through the sidebar a little bit to find it, but most blogs have it. Just click on the image or the text that appears besides it. Several choices will apear on your screen. Choose Subscribe with Google. You will then be taken to a page that asks you if you want to subscribe with Google home page (another great way to subscribe if you use igoogle) or if you want to add to Google reader. Choose add to google Reader and your done. (If this is your first time using reader be sure to bookmark it so you can find it again.)

Tip: Be sure that you are subscribing to posts and not to comments.

Follow with your Blogger Dashboard: This is my favorite option. My blogger account (like many other bloggers) is open on my computer all day. Whenever any of my followed blogs has a new post it immediately shows up on the top of my list. That way I am notified of new giveaways as soon as they are open.

How to Follow a blog:

Many Blogs will have an option on their sidebar that says "Follow this Blog". Sometimes you will see tiny icons of the blogs current followers much like you see on my sidebar now. This is the easiest way to add the blog to the list of blogs you follow on your dashboard. You just click the link and choose to follow publicly or anonymously and ta-da each new post magically appears on your dashboard. (Note: You do not have to have a blog to have a blogger account and use the dashboard.)

Not all blogs will give you this option. If that is the case you can follow the steps listed under Reader: then go to your dashboard and click add. Choose import from Google reader, then all you have to do is choose the blogs that you want to follow on your dashboard.

As a last resort, if there is no other way to follow a blog you can enter the blogs web address after clicking add on your dashboard. This only works about 50% of the time. The rest of the time I get a message that reads "We have found the blog but can not find the RSS feed." Sometimes refreshing helps. The rest of the time I have to find another way to subscribe.

No matter which method you choose subscribing to the giveaway blogs will not only notify you as soon as a new giveaway is posted but will sometimes give you extra entries as well!

What I Really Want Wednesdays - V-Tech

My children were lucky enough to receive one of V-Tech's earliest children's gaming systems, the V Smile, several years ago and they still play it almost everyday. I know a lot of parents will be giving their children a new PlayStation 3 or Nintendo Wii this year, and I think those systems are great for children who are older but for younger children V-Tech, in my opinion, is the only way to go.

Why V-Tech is the best system for younger children:

Safety - There is no chance of your children getting their hands on a violent or inappropriate game because they are not made for this system.
Education - All of the games teach essential skills while they are having fun.
Design - The controllers are built for little hands so they don't have to struggle to reach the buttons. They are easy to understand so child does not become frustrated and the games are easy enough that your child can change them themselves. We all know how children love to be able to do things for themselves!
Durable - I don't recommend playing a game of catch with the system but it will survive a lot more minor mishaps than the other systems.
It's Good to Be a Kid - Children are growing up way to fast these days. Before you know it they will be going on dates and borrowing the car. Let them play those other systems then. For now I just want to enjoy my children's childhood years with them and let them be kids for as long as they can.
Price - The games and systems cost a fraction of what you would pay for other gaming systems.

V-Tech has come out with so many new products since my children got their v smile. I am so existed about the V Motion I have been seeing everywhere. It uses the same principals as the Nintendo Wii! This product usually costs around $70.00 (compared to $350.00 for a PS3) but I have found it on sale at Walmart for less than $60.00.

I have searched everywhere for a V Motion giveaway but unfortunately I have not been able to find anything yet. I promise that as soon as I do I will post it here right away, so keep checking! While your waiting be sure to enter to win a V Tech Kid Art Studio.

Why did you start this blog?

I started my blog after an old friend encouraged me to start a "real blog" other than the one I had going on Myspace. My blog quickly became a way for me to escape my everyday life as a SAHM and meet other people.

What do you love about blogging?

My favorite thing about blogging has to be the personal connections I've made. There are people all over the place that I would have never met if it weren't for my blog. They are the greatest advantage in my blogging experience hands down.

What is your favorite product that you ever gave away?

Hmmm...this is a hard one to answer. I think my favorite giveaway so far was the Seventh Generation Starter Pack. I really appreciate this company and what they have to offer. Plus, it was fun to learn about a new way of "going green" as a mom.

Friday - Thought for the Week

Friday's Thought for the week is one of my new features of this blog. It is my way to let everyone know what is going on in my world.

This week has been exhausting! I have been working very hard on the improvements to my blog that you will be seeing in the coming weeks. I just started working on a list of current featured giveaways that I will keep on my sidebar and update daily even when there is no post so that nobody misses out on any chances to win. I will also be working on a new layout soon.

In the midst of all this I also had to host our annual pre-Thanksgiving friends only dinner Since most of us are away visiting family on the Holiday we like to have one day just for friends. It was a nice night. I cooked chicken parm for 11 people (the kitchen still hasn't been properly cleaned since. Don't tell my mother.) Then we played vidoe games and laughed about old memories. I think that everyone had a good time. At least I hope so.

On the real Thanksgiving I was lucky enough to have two dinners. One with my side of the family and one with my husbands. If I never see another turkey again it will be too soon. But there is one great thing about Thankgiving dinner with the family I have to admit. It sure does put the Fun back in disFUNctional!
